Donald Trump Tells Obama to Show Us the Proof

Apparently Donald Trump was on the View on Wednesday, March 23.  For those unfamiliar it is a show that entertains with five noisy women talking over the top of each other with one mildly mannered conservative, two loud mouthed and two normally noisy liberals.  Trump made the statement that Obama should end this question once and for all and simply produce his birth certificate.  Whoopi Goldberg had a conniption fit.  None of the other 43 had ever been asked such a thing.  Whoopi, there was never a question about the other 43.  They had documented histories that included childhood chums who remembered them from early ages.  Their parents were known to be Kansas farmers, Massachusetts bootleggers, single moms living in Arkansas, a shoe salesman in Illinois, aristocrats and Missouri pioneers.  Their births were recorded in family bibles that had been preserved as their parents birth records were before them.  More lately their births were recorded in hospital records that have never been withheld from the public.  Obama has none of these things going for him.  No one who should have gone to school with him remembers him.  He spent his early years in Indonesia.  No one remembers him from Columbia.  He spent a period as editor of the Harvard Law Review but he was never published himself.  His academic records are sealed and no one is able to find who financed his education.  We aren't allowed to see his writings or his academic records.  We are simply asked to believe that he is a scholar but the definition of scholar appears to include a man dependent upon a teleprompter in an elementary school presentation talking to children.  We don't know whether he traveled on a foreign passport or perhaps received foreign assistance in obtaining his degrees.  We knew nothing about this man in 2008 when we were asked to vote for him and this and his Marxist beliefs are among the many reasons I voted against him.

Whoopi's response was also circular in logic.  We don't need his birth certificate because he is president so he must be an American.  How sad and utterly stupid is that?  It is consistent however with a comment she made to Bill O'Reilly in an interview more than a year ago.  When he asked what she thought about the logic of something she interrupted him and said she doesn't think, she feels.  How honestly put.  She obviously was not thinking yesterday either.  Her impulse to attempt to make this a racial issue is inexcusable.  The citizens in this country have a right to know whether the man who holds our biggest office is himself eligible to be President of the United States.

I have said before that I am not a birther.  However, I think it high time he answers these questions and along with Donald Trump I call for him to release not only his birth records but also all information relevant to his childhood and his college career including the information as to how that career was financed.

Yes, there was a question with one of the others, Chester A. Arthur came under fire when people began to suspect that he was from Canada, not from Vermont.

Great article, Patriot. But I don't understand why you keep saying you're not a "Birther", as if somehow being a "Birther" is a negative thing. Isn't a "Birther" simply someone who wants Obama to provide documentation to prove he meets the eligibility requirements to be the POTUS.

I was pulling for the BYU Cougars to win their basketball game tonight.   This didn't make me a Mormon or a Cougar.   The distinction is that this issue is not something that I ever ardently took as my own.   I think those who are birthers are asking a reasonable question and no, I do not regard them negatively at all.   I think of them as patriots.
