Well, Congress no longer has a Weiner to Twitter about but has it actually rid itself of its most foolish or most stupid member?  One certainly must provide former Representative Weiner an A for stupidity and carelessness as well as an ugly grade for perversion and arrogance but sadly the Congress seems to have other addle brained idiots.  Take Sheila Jackson Lee for example.  When one thinks of her one also thinks of that old Henny Youngman line, "Take Sheila Jackson Lee. Please!"  How could any person in the Congress have been born with such limited intuition, logic, grasp for the obvious or concern for her own welfare? 

Recently, in Representative Peter King's hearing on the danger presented by the radicalization of native born American muslims, Representative Lee equated radical muslims in America with  "Christian Militants".   Read more ...   Just who are these Christian Militants?   Apparently Ms. Lee equates individual fools who have attempted and/or succeeded to blow up abortion clinics with radical muslims intent on bringing down our entire country.  Is this the opinion of a rational person?  Could this have come from the mouth of a person any less stupid than Anthony Weiner? 

Representative King is placing on full display a danger that exists in this country today.  Oh it is easier to bury our heads in the sand while in the name of islamic fundamentalism we have American born citizens attacking our military men and women or leaving bombs in Time Square but is it prudent?  Our enemies use our Constitution against us, not because it was designed in that fashion but because of a perverted sense of political correctness that is far more dangerous than the perverted behavior of Anthony Weiner.   

The Christian Militants identified by Sheila Jackson Lee are not organized.  They are not funded by churches.  They are not out to destroy the nation.  They are not driven by an intolerance for another's religion.  They are protesting a single law and as individuals, in their minds they are intent on righting a wrong.  I don't minimize what they do.  They are wrong.  What they do is illegal.  What they do is murderous.  But neither do I equate what they do with the organized, well funded murderous exploits of men like Maj. nidal malik hasan and abdulhakim mujahid muhammad. 

These men have something in common.  They are Americans who have been radicalized and who have turned their backs on their country in the name of their muslim religion.  Let's include adam yahiye gadahn, formerly Adam Pearlman who is also known as Azzam the American; he converted to islam at the age of 17 inside a California mosque.  He is an American born al qaeda cultural advisor.  Then there is anwar al-awlaki, an islamic lecturer, talent recruiter and motivator who has become "operational".  Apparently there were communications between he and hasan before hasan conducted his murderous rampage at Fort Hood.  al-awlaki is also an American.  Just this week an al qaeda inspired Marine Corps Reserve lance corporal yonathan melaku was arrested for carrying bomb making materials near the Pentagon. 

Where are they radicalized?  How are they being radicalized?  What were their vulnerabilities?  Representative King wishes to get to the root of this problem to protect other vulnerable Americans from attempts at radicalization and thus save many American lives.  We know that many are radicalized in mosques, right here in this country.  As stated before and as noted in the following news story, also among the places where men are vulnerable to later deadly mischief is our nation's prisons.  This is an environment where we should be capable of complete control.   Details ...

In the very first hearing in March Ms Lee, subsequent to testimony from a muslim was quoted as follows:  “A Muslim is on the panel! A Muslim has testified!” “And so I question, where are the uncooperative Muslims?” Read more ...  Ms. Lee, the uncooperative muslims are likely not there; either not at the hearing or there whining and making noise and using idiotic spokespersons like yourself to obfuscate and attempt to prevent this clear and present danger from being openly discussed.  In this article the NY Times describes the hearings as demonstrating a deep partisan rift.  Why should this be?  Why are Republicans intent on understanding and eliminating this danger to our citizens held in contrast to Democrats who seem intent on preventing such exposure? 

I am giving Ms. Lee the benefit of the doubt by calling her stupid, more stupid even than Anthony Weiner because what she is doing is likely the result of having been duped or of not being able to see the forest because of all the trees.  Weiner on the other hand did something foolish, he did something quite by accident when he sent that Twitter message and then lied to the press and attempted to disparage the reputation of a journalist by claiming Andrew Breitbart was to blame as a hacker, something he knew not to be true.  No question but that Weiner was stupid but in the end, his sins involved primarily himself, those who "followed him" on Twitter and his family.  Lee's stupidity indicates a willingness to place all of us at risk.
