I must ask this question because of what has happened in just the past week:

Some Democrats blamed the Tea Party for the Standard & Poors downgrade of US Treasury Bonds from AAA to AA+.  This is what we used to call "Shooting the Messenger".  The Tea Party simply rang the clarion bell.  We warned this Administration and we warned this Congress that for us to maintain that AAA rating we had to do something significant about our National Debt.  A reduction of the rate of growth without a Balanced Budget Amendment is not viewed by the Tea Party and obviously not viewed by Standard & Poors as something significant.

John Kerry went on national television and charged the media with an obligation to ignore the opinion of the Tea Party.   He proclaimed that the media had a responsibility to ignore absurd notions and to not provide a balance in opinions that involve what he refers to as responsible and what he regards as absurd.  One would hope that this absurd notion is among those notions the media will ignore. 

The campaign to re-elect Barrack Obama has identified their strategy for this next year.  It is their intent to vilify their opponent regardless of who that opponent is.  They know they can't run on Obama's record and as such they will resort to a desperate approach.  The Obama Campaign believes their opponent will be Mitt Romney and as a result we might expect aspersions to be cast toward Romney based upon his religion, his shift in attitude regarding abortion and his engineering of a healthcare plan for Massachusetts.   We might expect that by so doing there will be no reference to why he changed his mind on abortion.  There will also be no reference to the difference between the Massachusetts Constitution and the US Constitution and there will be no reference to the greater ease in designing a healthcare plan that was supported by Massachusetts citizens and its applicability in a single state versus a single solution that Obama engineered for the entire nation without Constitutional authority and without the support of the American people.  What bothers me most however is what this says about Obama himself.  How do you measure the character of a man who would attempt to build himself up by simply working to destroy another?
